Cairo – Mubasher: Orascom Construction Industries (OCI) has filed Wednesday with the Egyptian Exchange to voluntarily delist the company’s 208.9 million shares, at EGP 5 par value each, in implementation of the extraordinary general meeting’s decision, according to a bourse statement.

The company will proceed with the delisting procedures and will purchase shares of those hurt by the delisting move.

In January, OCI’s shareholders approved the board’s proposal to delist from the Egyptian Exchange. They also mandated the board chairman to take all required steps in this regard.
